EXCLUSIVE DUAL PRO™ SEAL SYSTEM

  • Dual line of defense against weather and the elements:
          1. Automotive quality bubble type seal
          2. Mechanical seal provides secondary defense

    T-Handle locks

  • Positive-action, folding T-handle rivet-on three point door locks
  • Additional lock types such as D-Ring and slam-action are also available

    Benefit: T-handle locks prevent accidental release by snagging, shock, or vibration.  Riveted locks are easy to replace (if needed).

    Lowered Rear Skirt Line, Seamless steel wheelhouse panel

  • Adds' 4" additional compartment height in rear vertical compartment
  • Die-formed seamless wheelhouse panels eliminate water buildup
  • Strengthened by a steel rocker panel which also protects against road splash

    A-60 Galvannealed Steel Construction

    Reading service bodies feature two-sided zinc coated A-60 galvannealed steel construction.

    Acrylic E-Coat Priming

    Steel bodies enter a 12-state process which thoroughly cleans, rinses, and finally primes the steel by electrically fusing the primer to the steel. This process provides complete coverage to the body, even in the most hidden or recessed areas.

    Benefit: Combining A-60 galvannealed steel with Acrylic E-coat priming provides the best and most comprehensive protection against rust and corrosion available in the industry.

    Benefit: In an area especially prone to rust and corrosion, Reading takes an extra step by constructing our bumpers with A60 galvannealed steel for additional protection against the elements.

    Latch-Matic®

  • Simultaneously locks the side compartments at the touch of a button
  • Operates within 25 ft radius of body
  • No rods, no handles, or protrusions of any kind
  • Two high quality key chain transmitters
  • A high-performance receiver/control box with auxiliary cab lock connections, fully protected wire harness, and automotive-rated linear actuators
  • Easy to program: can learn up to four different key chain transmitters
  • All electronic actuators are hidden within the door panels, making for a clean looking system that doesn't intrude into cargo space, while providing maximum protection for the Latch-Matic components
  • All Latch-Matic components have been thoroughly tested to be reliable throughout the life of the body
  • Individual compartment doors can still be locked or unlocked with the standard service body locks

  • Aluminum gas fill box

    Benefit: Accidental nicks and dings are common in the fuel fill area, which can result in rust.  Aluma-Fill® withstands this abuse and has an attractive appearance as well.

  • Aluminum chock block holders

    Benefit: Chock blocks in conventional holders can scratch paint and expose bare metal to the elements. Aluma-Chock® is made of aluminum which is naturally resistant to rust.

    Grip n' Glide®

    Pull-Out Trays & Friction Drawers
