Government and Fleet Purchases

Smyrna Truck Equipment, a Fouts Bros Company, has been a leading truck equipment fabricator and distributor for over 20 years.  In 2007, Smyrna Truck Equipment was the 3rd largest distributor of Reading Service Bodies in the country.  With over 20 major brands that encompass a wide range of applications, Smyrna Truck Equipment can put your fleet into service.

The Smyrna Truck Equipment Government and Fleet Department specializes in two programs: 1) Specification and completion of complicated applications 2) Management of high quantity projects.  The Government and Fleet team at Smyrna Truck Equipment can provide expertise while developing new products for your fleet as well as create flexible assembly programs that will guarantee the shortest delivery times in the industry.  These capabilities are tested regularly by some of Georgia’s best companies.

AGL Resources added Smyrna Truck Equipment to its team of experts to design a new crew truck in 2007.  This team worked diligently to design a truck that would have cross over appeal to multiple departments, while keeping the necessary requirements for the more specialize applications.  Smyrna Truck will complete, on time, the first 29 units by the end of November of 2008.

In October 2007, Smyrna Truck Equipment was contracted to install 100 AT&T units before the end of the year.  With 30 days to plan the project the Government and Fleet team, in conjunction with our in-house engineers, created an assembly line and production schedule to have the project completed by December 31, 2007.  AT&T received the 100th unit on December 16th – over two weeks ahead of schedule.

Smyrna Truck Equipment has the products, production team, expertise and management to complete the toughest jobs, while providing great customer service.  I ask that you give us an opportunity to serve you and your community by adding Smyrna Truck Equipment to your bid list and taking full advantage of our capabilities.  I would be delighted to present our company and discuss any 2009 budgets and planning.
